There is something truly magical about bringing fresh flowers into your house every week or a new plant to add to your collection. Whether you work from home, want a little something to brighten up the table or want to send an extra special gift to a loved one, a floral and/plant subscription is an incredible experience.
How A Floral and/or Plant Subscription Works
We’re here to make it easy for you. All you need to do is decide your colour palette and frequency of delivery. We’ll handcraft your arrangement and professionally deliver your flowers weekly/biweekly/monthly. There is no lock-in contract and you can pause and update your subscription any time you like.

Caring For Your Blooms
Enjoy fresh flowers for longer - with a little attention and care you can extend the shelf life of your floral subscription. Use these helpful tips to maximize your enjoyment.


Fresh Water
No need to worry about flower food or fancy preservatives. Change the water in your vase every 24-48 hours and you’ll notice your flowers last way longer.

Clean Container
Run your vase or container through the dishwasher between each flower delivery to avoid bacteria build up (this decreases the shelf life of your blooms).

Cool Temperature
Flowers last longer if they are kept in cooler temperatures. No need to place them in a cooler or refrigerator but it’s best to avoid placing your flowers right next to the heater.

Avoid Direct Sunlight
Direct light can have a dramatic effect on the shelf life of your blooms. Keep them out of the sun and avoid harsh bright lighting conditions.

Check Soil Moisture at least once a week
Water most tropical plants once the top 2” of soil is dry. Let Succulents and cacti completely dry before watering. Keep most fern’s soil moist.

Provide Proper Light Conditions
Most tropical plants prefer bright indirect light. Succulents and cacti love the sun, but may scorch with too much sun exposure. Ferns prefer dappled or indirect light.

Feed Your Plants
Fertilize your plants every other week during the growing season (early spring-fall) Did you know house plants typically go dormant in the winter? We recommend Plant Vitamins THRIVE (sold in-store & on our website).

1. Do I need to commit to a certain timeframe or sign a contract?
Nope! We’re here to spread the joy of flowers and make it easy for you to manage your floral subscription. You can pause, reschedule and update your subscription payment details as often as you’d like.
2. Can I tell you what flowers to include?
The magic of this experience is that we’ll pull together a beautiful arrangement featuring the best blooms Mother Nature has to offer. Our mission is to bring the joy of flowers to more humans and introduce you to new varieties, interesting colours and beautiful textures to truly surprise and delight.
3. When will my flowers be delivered?
Our floral subscriptions are delivered each Tuesday. We aim to have all customer orders delivered by noon, but we’ll be sure to contact you directly if there are delivery days or product interruptions. Note, Public Holidays will have an impact on delivery dates.
4. What happens if no one is there to receive the flower delivery?
We always confirm there will be someone home before delivery. If we cannot get a hold of anyone we will leave a text or phone message to verify a delivery time when someone is home, or a door is open for us to set the flowers inside.
5. Can I pause my delivery?
Yep! Just reach out to us via call or text 306.435.2829 or email dana@westwindflorist.ca and we can pause your delivery, update your subscription frequency and change your payment details.
6. What flowers will be used?
Mother Nature is magical and every week the supply of specific blooms varies from day to day, month to month. Check out our Instagram feed for latest updates on floral supply.
